About Us
HCHA is a community of Homeschool Families in Western North Carolina. We are in the business of debunking the myth that homeschoolers are "unsocialized." HCHA provides many, many opportunities for academic and social interaction for students and families. The HCHA website and forum is maintained for the benefit of its members. While reasonable effort is made to keep the information within our guidelines, members must evaluate the information for themselves. The views and opinions expressed by individual members do not necessarily reflect the views and opinions of HCHA as a group. Inclusion of an event or advertisement on the website or email chain does not constitute an endorsement by HCHA.
Mission Statement
Henderson County Homeschool Association (HCHA) is a cooperative support organization for homeschooling families which provides a wide range of benefits and opportunities for its members. HCHA membership is open to anyone, but as a Christian organization we embrace traditional Biblical values and viewpoints. Drawing from the gifts and talents of our member families, HCHA offers encouragement, academic and social activities, and resources to promote excellence and integrity in homeschooling.
Our association supports the efforts of and endorses membership in the state level support group, North Carolinians for Home Education (NCHE).
