About us
Bellevue Area Christian Homeschoolers (BACH) is a faith-based group of homeschooling families.
Regarding the nature of education, we believe that all education is religious in nature since one's view of the world and life inevitably is involved in teaching. Every discipline of knowledge, including subjects such as mathematics, science, or history, will have as its final reference point a theistic or humanistic view of reality. Therefore there is no neutral academic discipline. We believe that all social, physical, and cognitive knowledge should have as its beginning the fear of God and as its end the glory of God.
Statement of Faith
We believe in one true, living God, who is perfect, infinite, and eternal, and who exists in three Persons; the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. (1 Thess. 1:9; Matt. 4:15-17) We believe Jesus Christ, born of a virgin, is God in the flesh. (Matt. 1:22-23) We believe the Holy Bible is the complete, inspired, and infallible Word of God. (2 Tim. 3:16-17)
We believe man is by nature sinful and inherently in need of salvation. Salvation is exclusively found through faith in Jesus Christ by God's grace. There is no other way that we can receive salvation. (Rom. 3:10-18, 23; Eph. 2:8-9; Tit. 3:5-7; 2 Tim. 1:9) We believe Christ's substitutionary death provides atonement for our sins. (1 Tim. 1:15; Mark 10:45; Rom. 3:24-25)
We believe Jesus Christ literally rose bodily from the dead and will literally come to earth again in the Second Advent. (Matt. 28:1-10; Acts 1:11; 1 John 2:28)
We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ validated the ordinance of marriage between one man and one woman. (Matt. 19:4-5; John 2:1-11)
The BACH Leadership has chosen to have the elders of Maranatha Fellowship of Bellevue, NE as an advisory umbrella over BACH. Their position is to be a non-governing extension to BACH's leadership to provide Biblical centered counsel and guidance when needed.
