Mass at St. Mark is at 8:30 am on Wednesdays.

Do teachers get paid?

No, our teachers are parents that volunteer in order to provide this co-op.

How many families are enrolled?

We range between 25 and 30 families enrolled in our co-op.

How many students are in each class?

This varies per class. Typically, we try not to have more than 15-20 students per class. There are several classes with 5-10 students.

What is a Berean Style Co-Op?

Our Berean Style Co-op offers a menu of classes to supplement the curriculum you use at home. Our co-op parents bring their talents to the group and offer an array of educational and enrichment classes, from history, science, math, English, and foreign languages to art, music, nutrition, P.E... and much more.

Why is there memory work incorporated in the curriculum?

Memory work introduces basic knowledge about particular subjects that students will then draw from and expand on as their knowledge of that subject grows over the years.  The skill of memorization is one that is necessary for the learning process and is fun for young students.  Memory work is not an end in itself.  As students learn names and events they should also be hearing or reading stories of people, places and times that correspond to what they are memorizing.

What if my child has a learning disability or is advanced?

This curriculum allows children with learning disabilites or advanced students to learn at their own pace as adjustments can be made to the assignments.

Is this a complete curriculum?

It can be, depending on what you are looking for and what we have to offer.  If there is something in particular you would like to see taught, it is a good idea to offer yourself as a teacher for that class.

Do you have mother's day out or pre 2-3 programs?

No, our Nurseries and Primary Learners groups are for children of enrolled co-op families and do not serve as a Mother’s Day Out option.
