Vision & Mission
MISSION
Empowering Christian Homeschool Families with faith, fellowship and fortitude.
VISION
Empowering Tomorrow's Leaders: Youth Leaders for America (YLA) is more than a club; it's a vibrant community dedicated to nurturing the potential of homeschooling youth and families. Rooted in the values of Christian faith and American heritage, we provide a dynamic space for connection, learning, and mutual support.
At YLA, we embrace and promote the principles of a Leadership Education as outlined in "A Thomas Jefferson Education" by Oliver DeMille. We welcome homeschool families of all denominations who share our commitment to traditional Christian values and American liberty.
PLATFORM
The leadership education principles outlined in the book, “A Thomas Jefferson Education” by Oliver Demille form the foundation Youth Leaders for America stands upon. Thomas Jefferson Education (TJED) is an educational philosophy that builds leaders. TJED is not technically a method, in and of itself but more a philosophy. One can use almost any educational method and still apply the principles of TJED, which are grounded in the Phases of Learning and the 7 Keys of Great Teaching. Standards of excellence, quality, responsibility and hard work will be taught and upheld within the YLA community.
