Growing Together at FRLC: New Faces, New Friends, and Big Dreams!


Spring has officially sprung, and we are beyond excited to welcome the incredible new families who have joined the Free Range Learning Cooperative this semester! If you're new here—hi, hello, welcome! You're already part of something special.

Before the fall semester kicks off, we invite all families (new and seasoned!) to join us for our upcoming summer events. It’s the perfect chance to let your kids play, make friends, and maybe even meet that one parent who also has a labeled snack bin for every day of the week. No judgment. Just joy.

Behind the scenes, our team is deep in Teacher Training for the next two weeks. We’re investing in the people who make magic happen every day in our classrooms, ensuring that your children receive not just an education—but an inspired one.


Toward the Future: What’s Next?
At FRLC, we believe in purpose-driven planning (ikigai, anyone?). That’s why our hearts and minds are focused on building a brighter, bolder future—one joyful learner at a time. Here's what’s ahead:

1. Giving Tuesday – Unrestricted Fundraising
Because sometimes, the best things in life aren’t labeled. Unrestricted funds give us the freedom to meet needs as they arise and keep our programs agile, accessible, and impactful.

2. 2025 Read-A-Thon – Library and Computer Lab Expansion
Books + bandwidth = a launchpad for curiosity. We’re partnering with local businesses to expand access to literacy and tech tools for all our learners.

3. Spring 2026 Playground Initiative – More Nature, More Joy
Mud pies, tree forts, and the sweet sound of laughter—we’re dreaming big with plans for a new outdoor space that supports active, nature-based learning.

4. Gender-Free Prom – A Celebration for Everyone
No boxes. No binaries. Just sparkle and self-expression. Our prom will be a joyful, affirming space for all teens, and sponsorships will help make it unforgettable.
