Registration priority is based on volunteer commitment. Board members and teachers get priority registration.

Registration will open the week of May 13th. Please watch Band for when your group opens for registration.

Registration will open as follows:

1. Board members
   
2. Teachers who are teaching 2 year-long classes
3. Teachers who are teaching 1 year-long class
   
4. Teachers who are teaching 1 or more semester classes
5. Current members (not teaching in the fall semester)
6. New members (not teaching in the fall semester)
   

You must be a member of the Nurture Kitsap Homeschool Community in order to register for classes.

Select classes for each of your children. You will need to register each child for a class for every block, including lunch.

If the class your student wants is full, please wait list them and regeiser them in different class. Classes may open additional slots and we will move students from the wait list first.

Pay your membership fee

In August, we will finalize classes and registrations. At that time we will have you pay your class fees.

We anticipate changes to the schedule as we add families over the summer and do not want to deal with refunding all the associated fees if your student changes classes.

You can sign up for TA positions as normal in the classes themselves.

We will open the other parent roles in August.

With the new space we are still balancing what requirements we will need for the new year including things like set up, clean up, and hall monitor.

The Nurture Program is for our k-6th grade students and their younger siblings. Older siblings can register in the Thrive Program.

Nurture classes do not have any requirements or additional supplies.

As a primarily enrichment program academic level is less important than social interaction. Our age groups are as follows:

The year long classes will not be changed though they may move times in the new semester. The semester classes will be confirmed and all classes will be opened for registration in December 2024.

Thrive program is for students in grades 7th and up / ages 12 and up. Younger siblings can register in the Nurture Program.

Academic High School classes are geared for 9th+ grade and require more maturity and homework. These classes can be supplemented at home to make a credit class for high school transcripts.

Academic Enrichment classes are classes that are geared for all teens. While most of these classes will be self-contained, some classes may require light homework.

Social and Fun classes are just that, classes where our students can have fun with their friends.

All Thrive students are required to "register" for the Thrive Student Fee. We will provide a binder and dividers to each student to keep work for co-op together and orderly. Students will be expected to bring this to classes every week. This is intended to help students learn organizational skills and to help keep the teachers from needing to keep track of students' work for them.

Please read class descriptions closely to ensure your student is in a class that will meet their needs. All Thrive students are welcome in any Thrive class. However, be aware that the Academic High School classes are taught to a 9th - 10th grade level. Our teachers have been asked to detail expectations for content and homework so you can assess the fit for your student. If you have questions about a particular class please reach out.  

Study hall is available for 9th grade (14 years) + students who do not want to take any class offered in a particular block. We hope this option is not used; however, we understand that high schoolers have different needs and may find doing other school work is more important than a particular class offering during our day.

We will be joining the church in general maintanince, deep cleaning, and gardening tasks once a month. Please sign up for one month. We would like to have at least one family help out each month so we are limiting sign ups to 2 families each month. We will open additional slots as more families join.
