A Glimpse of SWGHA

Established since 1990, SouthWest Georgia Homeschool Association (SWGHA) is our area's oldest and largest support group for homeschoolers in the southwest Georgia area. We strive to create a christian environment that fosters faith, family and fellowship.  We meet once a week on Fridays to provide activities for students K-12 and support for families looking for a safer avenue of educating their children via homeschooling.

We have plenty to offer, however you must become a member to gain full acess to our website, where you will find information on all things SWGHA– class registration, calendar of events, community opportunities, a forum to keep you updated, and much more. You will also be able to sign up for our field trips, enjoy Field Day and participate in special events such as Graduations, Formals, Banquets, an Evening of Excellence, to name a few.  

We boast of fun educational events like Spelling Bee, Geography Bee, International Day and we offer opportunities for high schoolers join our Key Club and/or Omicron Delta-high school honor society. Middle schoolers are open to  join the Student Council. All these fun experiences are encapsulated in our photo gallery and a beautiful yearbook, which is available for purchase at the end of the school year.

This community runs on family cooperation. Parents teach classess, head organizations and events, and are involved in every aspect of the community in one way or another.

At this point you may be asking yourself how you can become a part of us. Well, it's easy! To join our group, you will have two secure online forms to fill out. First, click this Membership 2024-2025 link to complete the first form.  When you have finished you will be directed to PayPal where you can securely make your payment of $100. For a limited time only, you can take advantage of our $85 early bird rate, if you pay by August 9, 2024 online or in person. Finally, return to this page to complete the second form by clicking this link Website Access Request to gain access to our member site. 

If paying online is not an option for you, you can pay in person at one of our meetings. Our Fall kick off meeting will be held on Friday August 2, 2024 during which you can make your payment in person. Once both your membership forms and payment have been received and processed, you will be notified by email and you will be grated access to your exclusive member site.
