Mrs. Tori Walden To All Instructors
When Mrs. Walden began her homeschooling journey, she quickly realized her interest in creating fun courses that cultivated an interest in learning, growth, and self-directed exploration. Middle school students need to develop strong study habits and perhaps a first step towards this is to enhance their interest in learning. She has lead homeschool art and literature programs and has thoroughly enjoyed the fun projects classes use to enhance and reinforce the lessons. Desiring to learn and appreciating the ability to read is a life skill that will encourage long-term success and boost self-confidence.
Mrs. Walden earned her BA in German with a minor in International Business from Truman State University. She was blessed to spend a travel and adventure-filled year studying abroad in Bavaria, Germany. She started work at the non-profit American Cancer Society, moved to a position in Human Resources for a consulting company, and then made her most treasured career change to SAHM shortly after the birth of her first child.
She is originally from Illinois and moved over 20 years ago to NOVA with her husband. They now call Ashburn their home with their three children, three cats, and three tanks of fish. Tori likes to travel as well as spend time in nature, time with family and friends, and time with good books. She and her family attend Cornerstone Chapel.
