Mrs. Sarah Stitt To All Instructors
Mrs. Stitt attended the United States Military Academy at West Point and graduated in 2000 with a major in Spanish/ Russian and an Environmental Engineering Track. She served in the Army as a UH-60 Helicopter Pilot, where she served one tour in Iraq, lived in Germany, and helped recruit and train ROTC Cadets at Santa Clara University in California.
During this time, she and her husband started their family, and this prompted her to leave the Army in favor of raising their family of 4 children. Sarah went back to school to become a Registered Nurse, and by God’s grace and provision, was able to successfully complete her BSN at University of Saint Mary. She has worked in Med-Surg nursing and in Home Health.
After moving to Virginia, she started homeschooling her children and discovered the flexibility and creativity inherent in homeschooling. She loves spending time with her children and seeing them learn and grow as people, while having the opportunity to exercise their personal creativity.
Sarah is a deeply committed believer in Jesus and loves the opportunity to teach and learn how He has ordered His creation. She has homeschooled her own children for 5 years, and recently taught Earth Science and Spanish in a homeschool co-op setting, She looks forward to future adventures in the homeschool classroom. She lives with her husband, 4 children, and 3 formerly feral, but friendly pet cats. She loves playing piano, sewing and woodworking.
