4th+: Pressed Flower Luminaries

Make a “magical” luminary with a simple jar, some pressed flowers, a little glue, and your imagination! In about an hour's time your child will be guided in making their luminaries and then set loose to let their imagination take off. While they work, they will learn a bit about the history of this art form and different techniques for selecting and pressing flowers as well as tips for drying them on their own as spring blooms come up. This is a skill that could last a lifetime.
All supplies needed for this craft are included in the price. You will only need to provide a tea candle for use at home – battery powered or real, that choice is completely up to you.
This craft can be entered into HAHA’s Art Show and would make a great gift for Mother’s Day!
