Amber-Jeanette Patterson To All Instructors
Amber-Jeanette has had an enthusiasm for academia since early childhood. The daughter of two military parents, Amber-Jeanette has a unique upbringing based overseas and thus a distinctive perspective on language and culture. Amber-Jeanette has an Associate’s degree in Social Science. She also has a Bachelor’s degree in English with a minor in French Literature. Additionally, Amber-Jeanette holds a TESOL Certification and is highly experienced with teaching ESL. Utilizing her passion for linguistics and etymology, Amber-Jeanette acquired various professional roles that promoted knowledge retention through relatable ideas. Her time spent as a volunteer ESL Teacher at the Virginia Council of Churches Refugee Resettlement Program, the Manager of the English and Writing Center at Norfolk State University, and an AI Writing Generalist for Scale AI has positively impacted her ability to connect with students and encourage interest in learning instructional materials. Amber-Jeanette Patterson is thrilled to play a role in brightening the minds of the shining star students at PATHS!
