Mrs. Melissa Horning To All Instructors

Hello students and parents of TEACH co-op! 

I am looking forward to my partnering with you this coming year. As you see, my name is Melissa Horning, and I live in nearby New Holland. I am a native Pennsylvanian and have lived in the general vicinity for most of my life. I have 3 grown children and 4 grandkids, all of whom are the delight of my life! 

God graciously made it clear early on in my life that teaching woud be my ministry and passion.  My teaching experience has spanned 35 years with middle school through high school students, beginning in Valley Forge for a church school for four years and then continuing in Morgantown for a Christian private school for the next 33 years. Teaching the Bible and related subjects i.e., Church history, Apologetics, Worldview, etc.is my primary passion. A very close second is English grammar and literature. 

My degree lies in Christian education, and I have had many courses in English, communication, literature and counseling. Reading, traveling, gardening, and more reading are my favorite pastimes; learning about and expanding my understanding of God, His Son Jesus and His purposes for mankind and for me are primary pursuits. 

Homeschooling families have been a part of my life experience, and now I am pleased to be a part of that worthwhile philosophy and program.
