Ruth Cooper To All Instructors



Ruth is a homeschool graduate and is finishing a Ph.D. in Educational Psychology at Regent with a focus on math anxiety. She holds an M.Ed. in Math Instruction (Regent), is a PCET - Professionaly Certified Educational Therapist with Math Rx1 and Rx2 certifications (National Institute for Learning Development,  Suffolk), holds a Masters in Business Administration (Heriot-Watt, Scotland), is a Woodcock-Johnson IV - WRAT - AAB administrator/proof-of-progress evaluator, holds a Level 1 CrossFit certification, and has a background in biomedical engineering.

Ruth Cooper has a mission to educate, equip, and encourage parents and students alike in the area of math instruction and has taught and tutored 1000+ students (K-Calculus) to date. Ruth believes each student learns in his or her own way and the ultimate goal is to find what it will take for each student to be successful in his or her studies with as little stress as possible. She has varied interests and accomplishments ranging from lifeguard, EMT, and Uber driver to bookkeeper, test scorer, and webcomic creator (myxnor.com). Ruth loves CrossFit and running and has completed several marathons, as well as a half Ironman and countless shorter races... this is contrasted by a desire to chill at Starbucks, drink coffee, and do Sudoku while pondering ancient mysteries. The Coopers live in Virginia Beach, Virginia and have three boys.
