Income and Fund-Raising Policy

• Discovery Days participants may not earn personal income from teaching classes.  Fees may be charged for classes solely to cover the cost of materials, not for any monetary gain for the teachers.  The only exceptions to this are situations in which non-participant professionals are hired to teach in their area of expertise to qualify our co-op participants for  a group rate.

• Participants may not solicit business or attempt to earn income from others at Discovery Days.

• No monetary donations may be solicited or collected at Discovery Days for any organization, no matter how worthy the cause. On occasion, Discovery Days can be a collection site for non-monetary donations for emergency causes such as to aid hurricane victims, if a participant wishes to coordinate collection and distribution of such items.  All requests for such collections must be approved by the Discovery Days leadership team.
