Tutoring with Ad Astra is a year-long commitment. All classes are 80 minutes long, held between 8:00AM-3:30PM on Tuesdays and Thursday for approximately 32 weeks from mid-August to mid-May.
Tuition is determined, collected, and reported by the individual tutor, but on average, Ad Astra families are accustomed to paying $400 tuition per class, plus a reasonable supply fee ranging between $30-$75 per student.
Tutors are not employees of Ad Astra, however, must agree to operate within the boundaries established by the Program. Most of those boundaries are captured in our Program Handbook.
Please take a few minutes to review ourt Tutor Handbook. We ask that each tutor sign a Tutor Agreement.
Are you willing to abide by the the Program Handbook, the Tutor Handbook, and sign the Tutor Agreement?
Please provide a course title and brief description of any classes that you would be interested in offering at Ad Astra:
If you have reviewed all of the information about tutoring with Ad Astra and you feel it may be a good fit, please request to join.
You will not be able to log-in until registration opens for tutors, but you will be in the system awaiting approval. Someone from the Board will contact you to discuss any particulars once we have reviewed your request to join. You will be approved if we feel that you would be a good fit and that we will be able to offer your classes through the Ad Astra Program.
Please note: we will not offer any new classes which directly compete with another tutor. For example, we will not approve a second Biology tutor if we already have one, unless the demand exceeds the current tutor's ability. We value our tutors greatly and make every effort to maximize the return for their time invested in the program.
