Participation Guidelines

The families enrolled manage this organization and contribute to its success, so parent participation is mandatory. If your child is at co-op, then you must be too, serving as a helper, teacher, or ready to help if a class needs extra adults for an activity.

We require that all participants participate in at least three sessions, you will not be able to register for just two or only one session. Our co-op requires every one doing their part in order for us to thrive and be successful.

Discovery Days Co-op is neither a substitute nor alternative to schooling at home. The co-op supplements children’s education, but does not replace parents’ responsibilities. Under no circumstances will a student who has been removed from public or private school because of behavior or discipline problems be permitted to attend co-op. If a student has already been registered for co-op and it is found out that they were removed for these reasons, they will automatically be removed from co-op.

All Discovery Days teacher/parents, including approved outside teachers, should be participants of the Discovery Days Google Group for communication and be in agreement of Discovery Days Mission Statement and Behavior Guidelines.
