Inclement Weather Policy

Discovery Days will take their lead from  Catawba County Schools standards.

  • If Catawba County is cancelled, DD is cancelled.
  • If Catawba County is on only a 1-hr delay, DD is same time as usual,
  • If Catawba County is on only a 2-hr delay, DD is same time as usual,
  • If Catawba County is on 3-hr delay,  first session is cancelled, begin at 2nd session.

If Catawba County Schools have early dismissal due to inclement weather, we will try to let out in time to leave by the time they are leaving.  If they would dismiss before we begin, we would cancel Discovery Days for the day.
