Dance FAQ's

  • For all ECCHO dances students are encouraged to dress nicely and ECCHO dress code applies, for Fall Formal and Prom the ECCHO Formal dress code applies.

  • Fall Social and Fall Formal events are for ECCHO students only.

  • Students attending Prom are allowed to invite one guest who must also be in 11th or 12th grade and who must also purchase a ticket. If not already an ECCHO member, they must agree to ECCHO's code of conduct and formal dress code.
  • All music should be consistent with Biblical values and must not contain lyrics, themes, or innuendo that are violent, lewd, profane, or otherwise offensive.  Edited versions of offensive songs may not be acceptable if the underlying message is still present in the song.  Music should encourage appropriate interaction among students.

  • Group dancing is encouraged and dancing must at all times be modest and appropriate for our Christ-centered group. All dance styles must comply with ECCHO standards of modesty and safety.  Dancing that is unsafe, overly amorous or suggestive is prohibited.  If dancing with a partner, arms distance must be maintained with open space between you.

  • Chaperones in attendance will be the final judges of the appropriateness of dance styles.  Students must comply with the instructions of chaperones.  Failure to do so will result in students being asked to leave and may result in additional disciplinary action.

ECCHO's code of conduct applies at all ECCHO events.
