Yearbook Club 2024-2025

Yearbook Club

Yearbook Club Description

Students interested in photography, journalism, graphics, and page design may find ECCHO’s Yearbook Club a good fit. No experience is necessary to join the Yearbook Club, where these skills will be put to use as students collaborate to publish the 2024-2025 ECCHO yearbook.

Students must work independently as a team and be willing to learn and participate in all aspects of production. Students will attend and photograph several events outside of class time, and complete out-of-class assignments to meet deadlines. Potential for heavy out-of-class workload in the spring semester.

Student Expectations

  • Ability to bring a computer weekly to class.
  • Commitment to participate in the Yearbook Club both fall and spring semesters.
  • Weekly attendance and participation in class to meet deadlines. Communicate anticipated absences to the Yearbook Club Coordinator, making arrangements to complete assignments.
  • Commitment to complete assignments outside of class to meet deadlines. There is a greater volume of work completed in the spring, specifically in March.
  • Help the Yearbook Club Coordinator with photo days and promotions. These usually take place in the morning before classes begin and during homeroom/lunch.
  • Follow the ECCHO Yearbook Style Guide to ensure quality and formatting standards are met on layouts. When questions arise, will seek assistance from the Student Editor or the Yearbook Club Coordinator.
  • There will be several opportunities for Yearbook Club to fundraise, including selling Sponsor Spotlight Ads, bake sales, etc. The proceeds from these fundraisers assist the Yearbook Club to purchase supplies and equipment, while keeping student fees and the yearbook sale price as low as possible. Student participation (and often family participation) is vital to assist the Yearbook Club to meet fundraising goals.

Yearbook Club Staff Member Application

  • Admission into the Yearbook Club is by application only. Applications will be available May 1 and are due May 15. Submission of an application does not guarantee a spot in the class; the class is capped at 12 students. Students will be notified via email of their registation status prior to the May 27 registration date.
