What is G.I.F.T.?
G.I.F.T. is a Christian co-op enrichment program offering fine arts classes and music lessons for homeschoolers of all ages, from preschool through adulthood. Our mission is to support homeschooling families by providing a variety of enrichment classes that complement the education they already offer at home. Our community is made up of parents, grandparents, and educators who come together, using their gifts and talents to serve and support homeschool families.
G.I.F.T. meets on Thursdays for 24 weeks, running from September to April. Classes are scheduled between 8:30am and 3:00pm, and families have the flexibility to create their own schedule based on their needs.
A parent or guardian must remain on-site with their children at all times, though families are free to come and go as needed throughout the day.
Parental involvement is essential to the success of G.I.F.T. and is a required commitment for all co-op members.
G.I.F.T. is managed by a volunteer board, whose members sign a Statement of Faith and must receive a passing vote of confidence from the current board. Board members serve without compensation.
Statement of Faith:
Our Statement of Faith includes only those truths upon which all true Christians agree. It concerns the Person and Work of Jesus Christ (the Gospel) as revealed in Scripture. It is the faith once delivered to the saints (Jude 3, Eph 4:5) which distinguishes believers from non-believers. There are many other precious truths taught in the Bible over which godly men have differed in understanding. Therefore, this is not a statement of all that is important to believe, but of all that is essential to believe for Christian fellowship and unity (Rom. 15:7).
